Posted by Rick on 12/26/2001, 12:04 pm However hard I try, I cant seem to steady my aim enough to hit the bow in precisely the right spot to ensure that Ill not injure my teacher sitting behind the bow. I know that the trick is to let the right spot draw the arrow. However, I decline to shoot because my aim is not steady enough. A man I know tries next but he cant do it either. Then a woman I know walks boldly to where the small bow lies, picks it up and without hesitating even for a microsecond, aims and shoots the arrow at precisely the right spot. She allowed the right spot to draw the arrow.
...my teacher is telling people about a particular long bow. It is very old and very large, about 6 feet long. He sits behind it and invites me to pick up a small bow and arrow and from 25 feet or so to shoot this bow in one specific spot, about the size of a small coin, right above the midsection of the bow. This seems very strange to me. But as soon as I pick up the small bow, fit it with an arrow, and aim it at the large bow, I know why he has asked me to do this. The knowledge comes from the small bow into my body and my mind that the large bow was used to kill an innocent man by shooting him in the neck.
