Posted by scott What is "women's work"? It is not doing dishes and cleaning house and raising children. It is keeping the Light of Life alive. It is healing and preserving and cherishing and loving and giving life and preserving life and connecting to life and living life in such a way that Life itself lives. And these women enslaved in this building, so cramped and crowded and imprisoned with so little room they dared not breath more than shallowly, they are the generations of women over the centuries who have been protecting this Light of Life, keeping it alive in spite of being imprisoned , and they are the women inside women who have been imprisoned by cultural attitudes and material desires yet still maintaining that little connection with the Flame of Life, each cherishing it and keeping it alive, not just for themselves, but for all of creation, and for all of the future.
