6'6" small forward from Lake Oswego

Picked us over solid offers from:
Oregon St. Drake. UCSB. WASU
Marquette and Utah
Zags and Stanford were also on him . Don't think they
Offered.

This along with Cullen Neal is shaping
Up to be one of Bennets best classes
Ever ......,
Very solid get for us .

Along with BYU, SMC has the strongest recruiting class to date. I saw Cullen play several time this summer- excellent player.

I believe Zags were on both Neal and Hermanson.

Congrats. Jeesh... assuming he signs his LOI, that makes three Portland at SMC with Stephen Holt, Paul McCoy, and now Hermanson. Annoying.

UP is starting to get some more local guys, which is awesome, but the Pilots still have to do some work to get the top area talent. Portland has been a real hotbed lately... hope that trend lasts long enough for UP to get a true local star some time soon.

Hey, PP, not to increase your pain, but you forgot Garrett Jackson, Gatorade National Player of the Year in 2010, also from Portland, who transferred from USC and will be available for the 2013 season. Moraga, or as we will begin calling it, "Portland North," now has four Oregon athletes in tow (or will when LOIs are signed).

he was the state of Oregon player of the year,
like Hermanson ....... i think

Freak: Got it from Oregon live, the online version of the Portland Oregonian, on Aug. 3. Here's what it said about Jackson:

"The Gaels will also add former Westview star Garrett Jackson to the roster in the 2012-13 season. Jackson will sit out the upcoming season after transferring from the University of Southern California. He'll be a junior with two years of NCAA eligibility remainig starting in the 2013-14 season. Jackson was a two-time Metro League player of the year at Westview. As a senior in 2010, Jackson was a 1st team all-state selection and earned Gatorade National Player of the Year honors."

was BRANDON KNIGHT from fort lauderdale, FL

However, you were just reporting what you saw ...

Jackson WAS the 2010 STATE of Oregon POY though ...
