Farewell Ryan McCrary

So sad to hear that Ryan has been dismissed. He has always been so loyal to USF and an incredibly hard worker! We will miss his presence and always making sure we have out stats. Rick said he was the hardest worker in Memorial Gym! If you read this Ryan we will help you anyway we can...God Bless, and so sorry to loose such a wonderful guy. Thanks for the innumerable favors over the years, there is no replacing you!

Ryan always had a smile on his face and always greeted everyone. He writes very well and it was apparent that he worked hard.

I will miss him!

Ryan, thank you so very much for your devotion, diligence and attitude. You brought sunshine to many of us.

Like the above posts said, Ryan always greeted my wife and I and took time for a short chat. I have no doubt that he will move upwards in his profession.

Class guy at the games and working the golf course at the 6th Man golf events. Seemed like a great guy and hard worker. He'll be missed by USF fans as well as Pat Olson I'm sure, as the stat guy on all the broadcasts. Was always good to hear McCrary gasp behind Olson at a ref's blown call, or during a homer job at Bozeman.

Ryan, I hope you are reading these posts. You have done a fabulous job for USF's athletic program. Personally, I would like to thank you for all your kindness to Bob, as well as to me. I will always remember your graciousness.

Really sorry to hear this. I think Ryan is a great guy, a genuine fan, and he was always hustling.

Very sad news.

I had the chance to work with Ryan often, and he had a sterling reputation among his peers at WCC schools.

Also had a fun time hanging out with him in non-work settings a few times - a great guy all around.

He'll definitely be missed!

If this is true, then I am both sad and happy. Ryan is a true friend and someone who I had the pleasure of working with for a short while. We had a great time and I learned a lot about life through our experiences... I am sad because no one deserves to go out on someone else's terms but I am happy because I know that Ryan has established himself within the athletic administration community and I know that he will land on his feet in a great situation!

Good Luck Ryan! I am sure wherever you go, the vending machines will be fully stocked!!!

Employers and observers may not always view things the same way.

Years ago when I was in retail management, I was really impressed with a man who worked in the warehouse. I noticed that no matter what he did, his productivity was consistent at 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. His boss later told me when he first started as the manager of the warehouse, he valued those who were speed demons. He thought that, Mr. N., was slow. Finally, one of the old timers (a union man) pulled him aside and said, "Look at the results. The speed demons last for about an hour each day and then taper off to nothing. Mr. N. on the other hand receives a load of merchandise and by the end of the day, everything is checked in and priced. The pile that was on his left is completed and ready for the floor and is now on his right."

Ryan in my opinion was one of the bright lights in the gym and from what I saw, he was always attuned to working well and consistently. I do believe that when God shuts a door, He opens a window and Ryan will be guided through that window.

Our wonderful memories of Ryan and our wishes for good things will support him as he travels through that window.

Not to pick over the dead bones too early, but....has someone already been hired to replace McCrary? I may know a highly qualified individual who would make a perfect SID.
