Island Don

In an effort to get away from that Zag thread, and since I am in Honolulu, but need a break from being a FBI type (that is Female Body Inspector) I have a question. I know Milbrae will know the correct response, but for you others:

Who was the Hawaii nativeplayer who started a couple of years for the Dons? Bonus, what future Dons coach let USF know about him?

For those of you younger folks wondering who Don Snyder is, I would suggest imagining a 1960's version of Damien Cantrell. Nothing flashy but a true blue collar, hard nosed, in the paint handful for the opponent.

I am interested if Don69 would agree with the comparison.

That sums it up very well. Possibly a better ball handler, espececially in the open court. Very hard nosed ball player.

I woke up in my Honolulu hotel room years back to the local sports where they announced local boy Julian Sensley got out of his LOI with USF so he could sign with Hawaii.

On the other hand, 3 years of Sensley became 2 years of Tyrone Riley. Not a terrible trade.
