LIU is actually in Brooklyn, which, though technically on Long Island, doesn't fit the profile you're getting at here. He gets to play D1 ball in New York City, not too damn bad. Best of luck, kid.

I'm not knocking a school that played Michigan State pretty tough last season in the Dance and I would never knock Jay Z and Brooklyn.
Wish we got to see more of Khalil on the court to really know if he had something or not.
Now he leaves with 2 years under his belt of no significant minutes and another year to ride the pines.

Yes, I agree with the previous posts... too bad we didn't see what he could do on the court against D1 opponents. I am NOT an avid fan of redshirting unless it is injury related (Domo).. Let these new guys get D1 experience in games that count. We used up a scholarship to watch him ride the bench for two years... no return on that investment.
