At some point, doesnt the BOT just get sick of the embarrassing turnover? Even her cronies are leaving. Let's hope his departure is a precursor to her own.

USF's Deputy Athletic Director gave 1 days notice this past Thursday. He was leaving to take a postion at a Christian Ministry based Community Outreach Center in Central Florida.

another athletic dept employee who survived less than 10 months! Any company with this kind of employee turnover would raise flags everywhere. POOR POOR management and environment. Incredibly embarassing!

The actual "search" for the Deputy AD position took longer than his actual USF career.

Supposedly, his departure was not a great loss.

very true. He was the invisible man. Then it goes to the source of the problem: 1) why was he hired?, or 2) it took 9 months to find and hire him?

I don't have the time to get into this right now, but somebody might...calculate the time it took to hire him, which meant substantially less donations while the search was going on....figure his time here with substantially less donations because nobody knew or actually cared about him... and then... figure out what might have been had she simply hired Greg in the first place...although I can't put a number on it, I HAVE to believe that there was a serious $ drop during that period of time that would have been avoided by simply saying "yes" to Greg.

This is just one hiring disaster after another...add to the equation that she DIDN'T want Rex and exactly HOW has she helped the athletic department?

Festus is right...in any other organization, her boss would be saying "WTF?"...did I forget to mention that every candidate search is expensive, time consuming and in her case, usually a flop?

This is not good...

DGM has proven to be the worst type of administrator, a liar AND a fool. Her personal hatred and selfishness, has proven time and again, is a major roadblock for any kind of stability for the athletic department. Not counting the lawsuit, her personal needs have done more harm to the department than anyone could have ever imagined.

She has crippled the department single-handedly. Hiring Greg was what was best for the school for external relations and what would've added much-needed stability. And it would've made her look competent and intelligent for the time being. With a little foresight, it was so easy to see and it was an easy hire. Simply, it would've improved the department. Instead her personal vindictive agenda - to hire anyone off the street besides Greg as Deputy AD - was and is the only thing important to her and it has created yet ANOTHER huge department blunder.

It is so evident that DGM's egocentric diabolical motives trump anything that actually might be good for the school. It's all about her and not about U.S.F.'s well-being.

The BOT is not going to fire DGM. The entrust her oversight to their direct report, Father S. Privett, the brilliant and visionary leader who just rec'd a 5 year extension from them. Father Privett believes D1 sports is a nuisance and also thinks USF Men's BB fans are a bunch of much bigger nuisances. He, nor his managerial stawman, Mr. Cross, are going to excuse DGM because that would be giving in to the aforementioned nuisances. Unless this Evans lawsuit totally blows up in her face, which I'm am guessing is un-likley, the esteemed A.D. is gonna be here for the foreseeable future. So, get out your biggest umbrella, the rain continues to pour.

But Greg was qualified for this job in 2008 too, when he was actually employed within the same department, and still got the finger from DGM.

I can't wait to see who DGM hires for her second Deputy AD in just a year. A former cashier from Dave & Busters who once played basketball in a rec league?

Cross is the CFO. Maybe he can create an excel sheet to figure out the void of donations under DGM. a) During her loooong employee searches b) while her own employees are at work and c) under DGM as a whole. Cross is the financial guru isn't he? Everyone knows DGM's personnel impact. What is her financial donation (lack of) impact to the school?

The problem with that approach currently is that Fr. P, Cross, DGM etc will all say that "it's the economy!" The falacy, of course, is that it had already turned when she got rid of Greg. I believe the constant turn-over is a serious internal control issue. These are the people who have control of the revenue.

Never having dealt with tax exempts, I have a question. In audits of public companies in addition to the actual audit report there was also a management report issued. This would get into operations a bit, sort of like "where did you get that idiot tax director, Dons69, what is your plan to improve." Do USF's external auditors issue something like that?
