Hardy averaged 21 minutes 7+ points & 5+ rebounds. Not bad!
And this is in no offense to the Summit Conference or Oral Roberts, but I'd much rather be making trips to Irvine or Riverside rather than North Dakota and South Dakota especially in the winter time. - Re: Oh what the heck... - Transfer news

Galloway was at Kentucky? Who was recruiting for them? Porter, Galloway and Vilarino were mid major types. How did they get UK offers? Maybe that's why they have a new coach.

I saw Galloway play in HS. Really talented...fastest guy end to end with ball I've ever seen....great size at legit 6'6". But no shot and very wild. IF he had grades (he didn't and likely doesn't) and he had good coaching, he could have been very legit D1 guy. Sadly, he's gone from place to place...seems this will be 3rd school...juco, Kentucky, Fullerton....and potential never had been fulfilled. - Re: Kevin Galloway

It will be Galloway's 4th school. Started at USC. Isn't Hardy the one going to Fullerton?
I agree, he could have gone to USF, SCU, SMC or UOP and had a solid 5 years to play ball and get his degree. Instead, he was told he would be a 6'6" NBA point guard 2 years out of high school. So he goes to USC to play in the Pac 10, then leaves to go the factory JC in Idaho (CSI) and gets a ride to Kentucky in their down years. Then Calipari waylays him right before his senior year (along with a bunch of others). Now his options are limited. Sounds like Rekalin Sims. What a waste. - Re: Kevin Galloway

QD...got me in a senior moment. You're correct about Galloway at USC and Hardy at Fullerton. And, yes, from this vantage point it looks like both Sims and Galloway got chewed up at the factory at Kentucky. Most of the time guys like this are getting bad advice from someone. Who thinks either got any academics at any stop on their wanderings? Now they are close to finishing eligibility and what's the future? - Re: Kevin Galloway

Hardy is nowhere near a legit pro prospect, yet he was encouraged by his dad to prepare for that route early on. His family basically held him back on purpose when they knew he wouldn't qualify for college. Then he had 2 years of prep school before randomly going to ORU (a very strict religious college) and then transferring to a mid-major. Do these kids all think they are going to the NBA?
Sims and Galloway took a very similar path. Sims to prep school, then factory JC, then Kentucky, then booted from Kentucky.
Lets hope Galloway at least has one good year at a D-II program, unlike Sims who was kicked off the Fresno team. - RE: Hardy

Wasted talent. A shame. Many poor choices. Another example of a guy who likely was told since his junior high years he's a future NBA star. Lack of academics reduced his choices....then over rating his skills vs other palyers led to limited PT...etc....etc. With the right choices this guy could have been a solid starter on a good D1 team. - Re: Oh what the heck... - Transfer news

I actually met Cal State Fullerton head coach Bob Burton two weeks when we were in New York City, and I thought he was a heck of a nice guy. I do feel bad for the Big West schools. They are so reliant on transfers and junior college players.
