We can't do it all 40 minutes of course but I believe to have a shot against those 3 teams we are going to have to open it up and run more like Rex always talked about when he took over the program! This team continues to be inconsistent from the perimeter.. Doolin did finally hit a 3 down the stretch which was huge and of course Mikey & Angelo got a few each but ultimately.. we need to run with teams and take our chances! Mikey & Rashad are at their best in the open court!
We gotta start playing to our strengths if we are going to make a run at this point!
And I respect RW and his decisions but he needs to bend a bit on guys having to be defenders first and foremost to get on the floor! Adams is a specialist shooter and needs to be getting some minutes in there! Avery Johnson helps us on D but then hurts us when he is left open on the perimeter and can't hit water from his boat!
Overall last night.,.. we lost because we did not show up in the 1st half! No energy or passion on their faces! Then they turned the switch at the start of the 2nd half but it was too much to overcome!
We have depth now... we need to play 10 guys and run,run,run!!!!
