Sigh... the less we talk about last night's game, the better.
Washington shot the ball really well, Portland didn't... things went off the rails from there.
However, I disagree about ducking games like that - yes, it didn't go well, but Portland has played UW very tough many times up in Seattle and has beaten them in the Chiles Center too.
How can you compete for a league championship against teams like Gonzaga, St. Mary's, and BYU if you don't challenge your team early and often? The Pilots only have three upperclassmen - a game like this, tough and disastrous as it was, is a learning experience.
I'd much rather have my team give it a go against a Top 25 team than play an NAIA team at home.
