In a new string (I guess this one is getting elderly) QD, FYL, me, and other esteemed posters have proposed using our already paid for seal.
After posting my support of their measure, I webbed Harvard's official motto that the college adopted in 1692. I remember seeing that gold seal on a friend's black wooden chair that he prized almost as much as his much bragged about graduate diploma. Its motto read, "Veritas." But my friend would add "Christo et ecclesiae veritas" or "Truth is for Christ and the church." We won't go into which church or discussions whether truth is relative. Needless to say, I conclude that our USF seal is equally impressive with 1855 from early San Francisco and the seal from a Spanish soldier and saint of a noble family.
