okay, so the above post raises problems for me then. let's say my calendar frees up at a later date and I want a ticket then. sorry...none available because, instead of keeping a block of 600 (guess) available at full price, they were effectively given away to people who don't intend to use them.
if the gym is half-empty, giving away prime seats to ghosts is only kind of a problem.
but now we're getting news that the whole season is on the verge of "selling out", except that faculty ghosts are still very much welcome in prime seating locations. this is troubling because it's both dumb and a bad gesture to sincere fans.
it's still only august, plenty of time to move those faculty seats to full-pay options only. that way real fans can actually get to the games they want to go to.
if the buzz is as big as "USF Tickets" is making it seem, than why not switch the policy now. there's no good explanation for not doing that.
