It won't take NCAA violations for things to get ugly.
Remember, the indictment said that Brandon Johnson solicited players to shave points for the 2010-11 season, and that the people in this ring wagered on USD games this season with the belief that games were fixed.
So... what if USD has to kick a few players off the team, and then a few more coaches leave, and then guys start transferring away... would there be any choice at that point but to axe Grier and get a fresh start?
Not that USD is in a great spot as it is, but at least they had some hope with some talent coming back and some promising redshirts coming in. That whole thing could get blown up and have to be rebuilt, putting USD even more years away from being on the right side of .500
And shoot, if the NCAA gets involved on top of that... Unless the player fixing games was one (or both) of the seniors - Devin Ginty and Matt Dorr - that means that there is a player (or players) currently on the USD roster who took money to throw games.
