DC- Maybe "What needs to be said" should be rephrased just a tad from that radio show, of sorts. I believe the terms are people skills and job suitability. I don't personally know either of these two individuals. I do assume that they have an abundance of certain admirable skills and traits. My question would be if they possess suitable skills for their current jobs? This should be the question that is thoroughly explored prior to placement and for evaluations. They can be very good people but just not right for these critical positions. The Jesuit presidents previously mentioned exuded personal charm and sensitivity to the importance of MBB to their campuses. We've previously experienced an AD with enough charm to solicit major donations. Unfortunately for this AD, there might have been a significant flaw along the way. But perhaps I'm incorrect on this and Seattle U. was a promotion in Jesuit or Socratic logic. At any rate, the AD position in most universities is a coveted one, and it should be held out for an individual with ALL of the necessary prerequisites. Same with a university president.
