I was present in the Pit for that debacle and work with a guy who played hoops at CSUF the year before. He played with a guy named Joe Damm at a JC before they went there separate ways to 4yr schools. Damm was the Zambrano of the 78 team. I have so many bad reminders of that trip that when USF got CSUF at the NIT at WMG I was all set for a 25 year pay back. Now its two! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two things really stick out to me about that trip. One is every time they show Webber calling time out and blowing it for Michigan, I remember that is exactly what happened to the Dons in that game. I can't remember for the life who called time, it was one of two guys. The only thing good about that trip was the fact that 10 members of blind Jim's crew got back to SF in one piece in a motor home after stops in LV and Reno..... CSUF has USF's number. I agree with Tomas (I think he said it), Bob Burton would be a fabulous hire! That will be our payback!
