As much as I like FYL's green cap he gave me with the SF logo, deep down inside, I have to admit it bespeaks of the Giants and formerly our Seals. While I prefer it's by-gone era SF style logo, I know there's no U there to distinguish us from other SF entities. Sorry FYL, but I'm still going to wear your hat with great pride.
But I understand Scott Sidwell. He talks the contemporary marketing talk, which coincides with our mobile phones and other media. So our new U with a vertical SF sets us apart. I guess that's our copyright to distinguish us from that bothersome South Florida school.
My only question is, does Scott's new logo supersede our 1855 Jesuit logo with the two lions & St. Ignatius' family shiled, or is this one just used for diplomas and awards for valor in the classroom?
It's time to distinguish ourselves on our courts, diamonds, and fields as well as in the media. GO DONS!!!
