Pure guesses based on "big"
1. Bill Cartwright is joining the Athletic Department.
2. Bill Russell has dropped the feud, will be honored by having the court named after him and KC Jones and will be given a way overdue degree based on his achievements.
3. A new off campus baseball facility-given the city space this would either have to be redoing Big Rec in Golden Gate Park or a site in the Presidio. Alternatively, an agreement with the Giants to play home games at A T & T.
4. As mentioned by another poster, USF becomes a part of the new arena plan and will be playing some games in the new glass palace on the waterfront beginning in 2017.
5. Added sports as mentioned by Dons Pride-likely lacross and rowing.
6. RW is signing a contract extension.
7. A major sponsor will be announced providing significant funds and opportunities for the Athletic Department.
8. Just for fun, DGM is being hired by the new AD at Stanford as his assistant in charge of community relations.
9. The 1951 football team (or at least those still alive) is finally going to get honored at the White House as was supposed to happen a few years ago. Alternatively, a major motion picture is being made of their story.
10. USF and other Jesuit universities have agreed to an annual tournament. Alternatively, the Cable Car Classic is returning to San Francisco, a city that actually has cable cars!
