USF1855, I grew-up watching the Lakers with Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Kurt Rambis, Michael Cooper, Kareem, etc. Then I became a Celtics fan while attending school at U.S.F. when I found out that Bill Russell, KC Jones, Phil Smith attended Univ of San Francisco, etc. I bought the book at the U.S.F. Book store the 150 Years anniversary and the 1951 Football Team. I enjoyed reading the books and found out more about the history of the University of San Francisco. The old ST. Ignatious College used to be located at West Field Mall in San Francisco/Emporium. U.S.F. has a Rich history in Basketball, Soccer, Football, etc. Anyway, that is why I am both Lakers and Celtics fan.
