One important point to remember whenever a team plays an NAIA team in an exhibition. The rules of who may play are very different:
- no five years to do four in NAIA;
- no NCAA clearinghouse in NAIA;
- more flexible academic requirements in NAIA, i.e. even less like the normal students than BCS football programs south of the Mason Dixon line and east of the Mississippi.
