There are a lot of deals both on and off the strip now. Business is off (Harrahs just posted a $1Billon loss for the past quarter) - it might be worth the effort to do a little checking. Though the rates usually get hiked some for the weekends.
I did not realize the Dec tourny was being held at Southpoint - closer to the house and do not have to deal with the off strip traffic. Have not been there but have been told Southpoint is nice.
