Thought the intentional foul by Smith on O'Connor was ridiculous. Injury didnt look that bad, but has there ever been an intenional foul called in a USF inter-squad scrimmage?
Most impressive player: Dior. Scored at will. Will dominate at the 3 and should win WCC POY if Dons finish in top 4. Scored 26 points in a 26 minute scrimmage.
Perris: Think he ended up with 14 points. Will score 10 and you wont even notice him. Catches everything and is very crafty inside.
O'Connor: Looked good before he got hurt.
Stojiljkovic: Very tall. Legit 6'9" and can really shoot. Hit a couple of 3s, but coooled off. Not a rebounder or defender yet, so his minutes will be limited at the start.
Diarra: a skilled version of Hyman Taylor. Had a great move off the dribble and was able to finish a few other times. Can handle the ball some and will get minutes.
Green: Looked rusty. Shot wasnt falling, but is a good defender and rebounder.
Angelo: will get minutes because he knows the system, but nothing spectacular today.
Mikey Williams: Confidant, and hit at least one three. Handles well.
Kwame: Looked very good and is the only other sure starter in my book. Hit a number of shots and is visibly bigger.
Bryant: what you expect. Hit some shots. Nothing fancy.
Bruha: looked stiff and clumsy. Looked better and more aggressive in summer league.
Blake Wallace: guess he is hurt again. Not in uniform. Seems injury prone and I dont expect we'll see him much this season.
Strange set up. 20 minute "half". Then 6 more minutes of scrimmage. I would have left after the first part if I knew that ahead of time. (not to be sexist, but can they cancel the women's game? Started at 1:30 and seemed endless).
Ok turnout. Even though average age of attendees is 60 plus, still played the blaring canned music.
Gym looks great.
If season started tomorrow, starters would probably be Bryant, Kwame, Dior, Angelo and Perris. Stojilkovic first off bench, followed by Diarra and probably O'Connor. Others will scramble for limited minutes.
