They have Murray State (at Berkeley), Princeton (at Berkeley), Detroit (at Berkeley), and Jacksonville (at Berkeley). That is a handful of mid/low majors, plus a tourney with UCSB (at Berkeley), Furman (at Berkeley) and Utah Valley State(at Berkley).
They schedule lower level teams, at home, to not lose. Is it that hard to understand?
The closest they came is playing UOP at a non-UOP spot in Stockton. And, I think Cal still has not made up what they owe UOP from cancelling their earlier series, so I'm guessing this is a make-up.
