Forget about a National Championship or a Final 4 Zaggie. You have ONE Elite 8 and that was 12 seasons ago. Other teams who have made the Elite 8 since then: Kent State, Temple, Davidson, Oregon (2x), Iowa State, Tulsa, Purdue, St. Joseph's, UW - Milwaukee, UW, Marquette, George Mason and Xavier.
Hell, LMU and Idaho State have made it to the Elite 8 once.
George Mason has a Final 4. Marquette has a National Championship. Xavier has multiple Elite 8s.
In the grand scheme of NCAA basketball accomplishmnents, Gonzaga is pretty insignificant. A big fish in a small pond who wins a weak conference every year and gets drilled when they play the big boys (See Memphis and UNC last year). Oh, I forgot Portland State too.
What is "pathetic" is the Zags' fans who think the Zags are an elite program. Not ranked in preseason. Not a top 25 recruiting class this year or next. I don't get it.
