I am a fan of Rex Walters and I am glad he's paying attention to the right things. There is a big difference between now and USF's recent academic history -- is it next year that the Don's will once again receive the full compliment of basketball scholarships?
Bol Kong is a citizen of Canada. Elias Harris is an amateur. Those are two undisputed facts.
Things would have been easier for Bol Kong had he become a Canadian citizen as a child immediately after immigrating from the Sudan. The fact that he didn't become a citizen of Canada until he was an adult impacted his ability to obtain the proper visas to enter the United States. He now has the proper visas and is in the United States.
Having his visas in order will also permit Bol Kong to fully participate as a member of Team Canada -- which he has been a part of since becoming a Canadian citizen.
