Your comments regarding the immigration process for most people brings up a pet peeve I have regarding the immigration of Latin American baseball players.
The player agents for Latin American players will get the player accepted to come to the United States to play ball which I think is very generous. The agents in turn will then have the player go through another country before coming to the United States in order to avoid the major league draft.
If it was up to me I would make the player reapply for US entry from the new country and let him wait three or four years for acceptance. Just my take.
