And tomorrow is 9-11. For good or bad, the government has cracked down on students coming from countries that sponsor terrorism.
A Senator may be swayed if he had family in the U.S., a sick mom who needed her son or if he needed political asylum. But he lives in Vancouver, one of the safest, most beautiful cities in the world. It's not exactly a hardship.
And I doubt anyone will be swayed by a bunch of college basketball fans who don't know him at all and just want him to play basketball for their school.
I suspect he will just play somewhere in Canada and then try to get over to Europe in a few years.
