Here's the actual quote from that thread, not paraphrased as it was above:
"The Gaels have a great young Aussie point guard (Dellavadova) who not only played well at the FIBA worlds U19 team, but also got some valuable time on their senior mens team this summer against the likes of Turkey etc, they are looking at him and Mills to form a potent 1-2 in the 1 position for years to come. I think that he will cause WCC opponents some headaches over the next four years."
While I agree that the quote might be confusing as to what team he's referring to, it's pretty obvious that he's talking about the Aussie National team and not the Gaels.
