DOH Rules! Well, that's what we used to say back in the day! lol. I can say that I am honored that the tradition has continued. I do miss flying but I don't miss flying for about an hour to shoot something. The allure of the game was that combat was a heartbeat away. I do understand there are those individuals who enjoy flying for an hour to shoot someone down. I can say, that I am not one of those. Back in the day, that's right way back when, when Fighter Ace meant taking off and hanging back to cover someone, we flew for about a minute before we engaged. Now what does that mean? IMHO it means that we flew together. I remember so many nights on Roger Wilco (which was in its infancy) that I would here pilots say, Where are you, so and so? The reply would be, "taking off." The next thing said was, "Okay, I'm flying circles over the base waiting for you. Let me know when your speed and alt is up and we will mop the ground with them." If you can capture that, then I salute you. Actually, I salute you now because you took a dream and made it last.
