Posted by Becca When he is off lead he has a long length lead trailing behing him for safety. If he sees another dog he will stalk the dog but we always get his lead before he could shoot of, so we don't know if he would be as calm off lead meeting a dog as when on lead. We realise this could look scary to another dog owner if they don't know he is a friendly dog. He stalks birds also and when they fly away he just looks back at us and waits for us. I would appreciate advice on how to help with the situations. Many thanks.

Hiya,
I have a 7 month old male Labrador.
When on a walk if he sees another dog he jumps up and bouncers on his hind feet. Even if the dog is on the other side of the street. He is not aggressive when we meet the dogs, just very excited to meet them. He has been to puppy classes. He wears a halti, which helps with his heeling but not with his bouncing. His behaviour is very similar when he sees cats with more pulling on the lead.
