Well all just got on the sight again today and wanted to say HI all been reading your post and glad to see all your finds.I had a bad year and never got out much but did a little in the spring.I had a health problem that layed me up for most of the summer but with the bad comes some good lol I got a lot of research in. I,ve always known that my ancestor settled here in 1664 and his name was thomas. Well he was a carpenter and i have found exactly were he lived. Dan and I went for a drive last week and guess what no work or any thing has gone on there only woods there now, so guess where our first hunt will take place and yes I am a little excited to think of picking up something my ancester held in his hand so long ago, wish me luck. Oh just as a after thought have you noticed that any where there was a culvete the department of high ways always puts in another and alot of them lead to old basements we find a lot of old basements on the back roads by walking in where ever there is one so good luck. My big find last spring a gold jack knife at least the case was gold the blade it self was steel and big pennies and fish scales
Heres wishing you all the best in the spring and yes he build in 1665 after thought
