I needed a chest harness for my gold bug as I needed to get into deeper water, with 7 feet of cable and an optioinal chest harness you can cover alot of watery ground, all except what you would need full diving gear for.
Only problem was I couldn't wait for the mail to get one. so off to the supply depot AKA "Dollar Store" I know there are some of you that won't like this idea. anyway I bought a dog collar and a leash, and there were enough spare parts to make a safety connection between my equipment belt and the shaft of my Gold Bug. This prevents the wire from excessive stress. you can just let go of your detector, it's not going anywhere.
