If your asking my opnion, I will give it to you.
If you want to find golg then the gold bug 2 is a great choice especially if your looking for natural gold in it's natural habitat.
I also feel what makes it a sensitive gold detector, makes it a good detector for any job.
That ring I found yesterday weighted less than 1 gram, you wouldn't have to turn a discriminator detector up very much to miss that. Detecting other stuff.... I found $2.44 with it today.
There are certainly detectors that will find gold rings and coins for less money, but this is a good one. proven track record, and good resale.
