Hi Dee,
I've been trying to find information about my family and came across your site.
The Honeycutt's I'm looking for are connected to Ledford/Burleson and Green(e)families from the Mitchell Co. area of NC.I know that they lived in Buladean at some time between the 1920's and 40's.
At some point a lot of the family moved to the Maryland and Pennsylvania area.
My G-G-Grandfather was William Honeycutt, G-Grandfather was Charles William Honeycutt b.1883 near Ashville,NC. d.1955 in NC. and My Grandfather was Samuel Honeycutt b.1905 in the Roan Mtn. area of NC. d.1979 in Maryland.
Charles W. Honeycutt was married to Martha Burleson b.1887 in Mitchell Co. NC. They were married in Mitchell Co. in 1905 by J.W.Hopson.
Samuel Honeycutt married Pearl Etta Ledford b.1912 also in Mitchell,Co. They were married in Bakersville by William Ledford in 1929.
My father's name is (GD)George Dewey Honeycutt b.1932 in Mitchell,Co.
About the 1940's Sam and Pearl and their children moved to Maryland due to a lack of jobs in the NC. area. The Ledford side of the family also moved to MD. about the same time.
