Did the Round the Island Race (Isle of Wight) this year in my recently aquired & refitted 1998 Beneteau 44CC and came in top 25% of fleet of 1700 boats.
Boat is based in the UK and sailed over 600 NM this year (2005). Once we had sorted the hydraulic steering out boat is now a pleasure to sail, centre cockpit is just great. Max boat speed to date 9.4 knots in 26knots of wind closehauled. Good photographs available of Round the Island Race under full sail. Have been offshore in 38 knots true and she stood up to big quartering seas very well reefed down, only took spray in the cockpit from breaking waves. Decks were being swept with waves. Excellent sea boat, would totally recommend for Ocean passage.
