Hi Pete
Thanks for your reply. I have never sailed cc's and as one who like to have a boat sailing properly I take your point about get a good view of both sails. The reason I started looking at the 44cc was the extra weight and space it had over say the 411 which I though would suit longer distances and not be so tender in a blow. There are not many Beneteau 44cc around the UK, I think there were about 150 built so they must be all down in the Med. I had better check up on the endurance 44. The moody 54 looks great as a cc, but I guess any boat of that size does.
Thanks for your time, good sailing.
: : I have sailed a few of these cc,s and they
: are nice boats and mostly well ballanced
: ,however my views may be bias as i live on
: and cruise on my endurance 44 (aft
: cockpit) and i must say whilst looking for
: a centre cockpit i stumbled on the aft
: cockpit endurance and now i am won.The
: benifits well mainly possition of helm in
: order to see the set of the main with the
: genny in view at the same time ,along with
: the advantage of larger foredeck,But!! ccs
: are nice boats and you just get used to
: your own boat,RNLI Helm (past) Long
: distance sailer, and currently owner of
: yacht maintenance company Med !
: Ps I skipper moody 54 from time to time this
: is cc so all i will say is go with your
: wishes ,it will not make an awful lot of
: difference when you are out there,Good
: luck
