Posted by Cruise Diver on April 25, 2003, 3:18 pm How about your outside route from Florida to New York City. Anything special there? How was the weather. Did you get a lot of help from the Gulf Stream? Did you need to make land between Florida and New York and if so, where? Lot's of questions, I know. Any info you can share would be appreciated. If you prefer to contact me directly, my e-mail address is "cruisediver@aol.com. I'd also be happy to talk on my toll-free line if you would prefer phoning, although folks on this board might be interested in hearing about your experiences. thanks again. Cruise Diver
Thanks for the response, Gord. I was beginning to wonder if there was anybody out there. How long has it been since you may your last trip North? What time of year was it? How long did it take you? Were you cruising at a leizurely pace and "smelling the roses along the way," or were you trying to make time? I would be trying to do the latter. I'm planning on putting my boat in a charter fleet at Manitowoc, WI, and they would like to get her up North ASAP to take advantage of the rather short sailing season.
