Cruising Galapagos to Chile

We are sailing this summer thru the Panama Canal to the Kokos Islands to the Galapagos, and then down to Chile for a winter (or summer there) sail through the canals. And am looking for information on possible ports on the coast on the way down. Anybody been there, done that ?
