I have owned a Tobago 35. I sailed it for 3 years and sold it. I would never buy another one. I hit a submerged object, bent the rudder post and it sent the trailing top edge of the rudder went thru the hull, making for a very long day. The aft "watertight" compartment wasn't very water tight and water was rushing into the starboard engine compartment. The pump could not keep up the the flow, so I disconnected the raw water intake hose from the seacock (closed the seacock) and used the engine as a bilge pump. Kept me in a manageable situation.
The Fountaine Pajot's are very lightly built. VERY. They also have some delamination on various areas of the deck. You can do better for your money. Honest!
: I have heard a rumour of a Fountaine Pajot Cat
: cracking up in the Indian ocean,
: supposedly not strong enough , as it is
: built for the med.
: Anyone out there with more info?
