Posted by Skylark In the hope of making it easier to find the right information, I put together a forum for those interested in ham radio and marine ssb on board a cruising sailboat. I would bet that there are many more people trying to learn how to use ham radio on board. Here is a link to the forum, feel free to start a discussion: http://cruisenews.net/cgi-bin/mmham/webbbs_config.pl 73 Paul V.

In the process of trying to get my ham license, I have been looking around the net for sources of information and help in learning how to use a ham radio on board. One of the most helpful sources of information has been hams that respond to emailed requests for information on how to study for the test, what to expect during testing, etc.

THIS BOARD IS VERY GRACIOUSLY MODERATED BY JEANNE POCKEL WHO HAS BEEN CRUISING FOR 15 YEARS WITH HER HUSBAND PETER ON THEIR YACHT "WATERMELON". THANK YOU JEANNE.
