There were Cartwright 44 pilot house built in FRP in Ontario in the 70s. I met Jerry Cartwright in Newport and he participated in transatlantic solo race. This was recorded in Cruising World magazine where he made the front cover.
There was one 36 ft and one 44 built in Newport area in 70s. They were raised doghouse design with flush decks.
Last I heard Jerry was badly injured in a car crash in Texas around that time.
