Keep in mind that the popular Barona eighth-mile strip sits on Indian Tribal land and was built without the restrictions other developers in California have had to deal with.[1/12/2007]

NEW SAN DIEGO TRACKS?
Agent 1320 has fielded a few calls this week about new So-Cal drag strips being proposed for development. Since it is so difficult to get the necessary approvals and address California environmental concerns, the rumors are that agreements with Indian Tribal landowners may be the fast track to getting new drag strips built without the usually restrictive governmental regulations.
