hey jon that male setter i just got a deposit on him from a breeder that will be buying him i have 2 setter pups out of my grouse dog if your intersted real cheap selling off most of my dogs

Richie Frisella has a male setter that is as fine a dog as any I've seen. He calls him Scooter. If a man couldn't shoot a bag of birds over him, something would be mightily wrong with his shooting skills. I've seen him, admired him and coveted him. It's time to stop asking and start buying John! You missed a good 'un in Dave Park's pointer male. BUT you want a setter and Richie has the right one for your application. Z

Jan, thanks for the praise and support of Peace Dale Scooter (Skuba) We're always been proud of Skuba's accomplishments and therefore the money back guarantee. Right now, I'm communicating with two separate people that are interested in him and I'm sure he's heading to warmer climates very soon. I doubt either of them will send Skuba back. John, You have been looking a long time now...by Ex-grouse trial dog you must mean simply and should state you want a broke /finished dog that just doesn't run enough for trials....ready to spend the money? Buy Zorro from Scott Berg...you will have one of the classiest dogs in the woods and might win a trial or two if you should try!!! He's simply a great looking bird finding machine or Scott would not have him... Or if you are looking for something like a well started derby...(I'm not sure why you feel a grouse trial dog is the answer); many well bred lines will find and point wild birds...see Suncanyon Stardust on my site, she's already pointing wild birds, running from both foot and horseback, has a head full of brains and looks like a zillion on point. www.settersunlimited.com/suncanyon

I was looking at the Setter Unlimited Site earlier today and see that there is a full sister to my setter pup for sale. I think it is even from the same litter. If it's anything like my pup you won't go wrong for a grouse dog. The pup's name is Berg Brothers Grace. My pup, which is under a year in age, has placed in all three trials she's been entered with two being derby trials and she won the first trial. She been hunted extensively this fall on ruffed grouse and has at least 10 grouse taken off her points with many more birds pointed that I missed . She is steady to flush and runs like crazy in the woods. I know they aren't the same dog, but I would still recommend contacting Berg Brothers about this dog if you want a younger dog.

I have a male setter, tri-color. Hunted Sharp Tails in North Dakota, and Ruffed Grouse in the UP of Michigan all in the same week. Out of TerHaar's Rocko and TerHaar's Briar. Nice dog. send me your email I can send pictures. Price is $1800.
