Hello to everyone one the board! I just wanted to mention that my granduncle was Archibald McLeod from the 71st regiment, 1st battalion & was commander of company C. According to my cousin (one of his sons), my grand uncle was awarded the Silver Star, three Bronze Stars, and three Purple Hearts. Unfortunately, my grand uncle (Uncle "John") passed away in the early 70's due to complications from WWII injuries. I would have liked to have heard some of his stories from the war. Luckily, my relatives have a few that they can share with me.
