Can anyone tell me where to find a comprehensive online display of right shoulder patches from WWII. My father was in the 44th Division, trained at Fort Rilely and served in England and France that I know of. On his left shoulder was the patch of the 44th. On his right shoulder was a blue and white patch that somewhat resembled a flower. It had a blue background, white 'petals', a blue center and I think it was edged in white. Can find no reference to it anywhere. He told us he was an ambulance driver/medic, but find no medical insignia on his uniform. Please reply by email if you know where I may find this patch.
