I would appreciate any info you have. He told me the story of how he got his Bronze Star, which he said was pinned on him by Ike (as well as others in the unit which had recently won medals). He said Ike was "in the area" and wanted to pin some medals?. My father was not a braggard, and to get him to talk about the war took some prodding. He said a buddy was wounded and he drug him thru a drainage ditch to safety.-all I know about it.
