Posted by John Peek Jr I am trying to contact anyone who may have known and served with my Dad. He was with the 44th from the ship in Boston, to Cherbourg, France and was in the Alps at Landeck, May 5; Pians, May 8; and Wiesberg, May 9, 1945. My father was Pfc.John M. Peek, Sr. and he served in the HQ.Co., 1st Battalion, 324th Inf, 44th Division.
