My mother Kathryn Leingang Martin,age 97, passed away July 26 in Tucson, AZ. Sister of 1st Lt. George "Dutch" Leingang, Jr., 44th DIV, 324th INF who died at age 90 in Cleveland in 2001. Both born in Erie, Pa. He was wounded April 30, 1945 during a Gestapo sabotage bombing in Reutte, Austria. The Leingang family is gone now. However, I am fortunate to share homefront and battlefield memories from both of them.
