My uncle, James Lee Lyon, Jr. (J.L.)was with I Co., 71st Inf. He was severly wounded in December 1944. We have heard that a French family hid him in their cellar until U.S. troops moved to secure the area. He spent many months at Brooke Army Hospital, San Antonio, Tx., prior to release in Aug. 45. I have always wanted to know more about his service. He was a Pfc., arrived in the fall of '44. Any help would be appreciated. Gene Lyon
