"you said he was in Headquarters Co. First Battalion. what does that mean exactly, was that the company that he was in like the alphabetical company A,B,C etc...? do u happen to know when he was promoted to Captain? or is he just listed as leuitenant?
and if he was an officer that would mean he was in charge of a platton or even a whole company right? im just trying to understand what my grandpa did back then. "
