I was wondering if anybody out there might know my grandfather(passed away in 1998). His ame was Ralph F Lammers. He did not talk much about his service with anyone except me and just before he died my dad. He lost his arm 12-11-44 in France and was wounded earlier that week as well, but returned to action. I was told that at one point he saved the life of his CO, but I dont have all the details. I am trying to piece the details of his time in the army together I know he was awarded the bronze star, but again I dont now the details of the incident. I hope someone can help. He was in the 324 from his induction until losing his arm.
